The development application for 8-10 Linacre Road was rejected by the Bayside Council Planning committee on the 12th of April 2022.
High level grounds include:

The development is considered an overdevelopment of the Hampton Activity Centre.

The proposal fails to respect the existing/preferred neighbourhood character of the area

The proposal does not adequately respond to the objectives of the Design and Development Overlay.

The proposal fails to comply with the Objectives and Standards of the Bayside Planning Scheme,

The proposal fails to comply with the Design and Development Overlay due to the second-floor front setback variation is significantly less than the required 4 metres.
Unfortunately our fight now moves to VCAT where the developer is challenging the Councils refusal to grant a planning permit.
